From an early age I’ve often wondered “What is the motivation behind our choices to do what we do?” Especially when what we do often doesn’t get us what we say we want. This curiosity in human behavior led me to return to school to pursue a master’s degree in counseling after raising my three children.
I began my career in counseling in 2001, working in community mental health, where I was involved in an outreach program at the Price Hill Health Clinic. It was there that I began to develop an ongoing appreciation for the complexity of human motivation and the resiliency of the human spirit. Three years later, I began working for TriHealth, to provide employee assistance counseling to corporations and health coaching to clients coping with chronic illness. The important connection between our body and mind became more evident through my work with these clients.
I decided to enter private practice in 2011, where I could focus on what I love to do every day; working face to face with clients and helping them through some of the most personal and difficult times of their lives. This is an honor that I never take for granted.
